Would the Pacers want Tyreke?

Fisher retweeted this from a Pacers writer
My initial reaction to any Tyreke for a 1st is that it's not happening. But this is a talent upgrade for Indy who is only one season away from Paul George getting the leverage to ask to be traded. They are certainly in win now mode. Also, penetration has been a problem for them even going back to the Hibbert/West #2 in the East days. Even adding Monta Ellis didn't help, they were 2nd to last in point off of drives. Tyreke has been top 10 in the league in generating points off of drives as a Pel. Even last year when he didn't look like himself in just 25 games he was 12th.
The only concern is Tyreke's injury, but the Pacers are desperate, he fits a glaring hole in their Z Chart, and they are on the clock with Paul George.

If the Pelicans call and offer Tyreke Evans for C.J. Miles and the 20th pick. Do you take that deal?

There is a piece that nobody seems to talk about- Could Tyreke pass the physical, even if a trade is agreed to?
I think a lot of you are assuming he can. Hard to trade a guy, if let's say, he couldn't

I think we are assuming he can pass a physical in this scenario.

I don't know if that should be the assumption. But we shall see

How quickly can we book his flight?

Justin Verrier reported that he might not be ready until preseason. I forgot it was going to be that long. Even if Indy's doctors agree with that timeline then it probably becomes a deal that wouldn't be first on their list. It'd be something you go back to if you swing and miss in FA. But like I said, getting a 1st for Tyreke always seemed pie in the sky. I think most of us would do Tyreke for CJ Miles and a future 2nd. Getting a 6'6 SG/SF that can sort of hit 3s for only $4.5 million seems like a good deal. And it's more of a need after the Bryce Dejean-Jones tragedy. With the way prices are expected to be this offseason you probably won't get a better deal through FA.

I think it will be really tough to even give Tyreke away this offseason. Why I think people should start accepting that stretching is at least a possibility if there is a FA who says yes to us on July 1 and nobody wants to take the risk on Tyreke

I'd do that in a heartbeat. I'd do the trade Reke for CJ straight up, and I like Reke.

Draft Hield
Trade Evans for 20 and Miles
Draft Jones or Zizic
Watch 504ByrdGang melt
The offseason couldn't go any better.

When did Reke become an unmovable awful contract? When he played 20 games on a bum knee in a new system?

I'm really only concerned with what Fletcher has to say about it

If you could read, you wouldn't have to ask this question
Again, maybe a guy can't pass a physical. Maybe that would be why he would be so hard to move in July
