Z has "something going on with his finger, don't know what yet"

On the 3 player ejections: "we've go to stay composed, look, I get it, it's a battle, and guys are frustrated that they aren't getting calls the other team is getting, and rightfully so, but it's the end of the game, we've got to be able to take that."

On battling adversity:
We need to keep steady, keep doing what we do

Paraphrased but the important parts of those quotes are verbatim

Those comments officially lost him the locker room and probably his job.

AD losing his shite on that ref and naturally, Willie blames the players and doesn't have their back.

He lost his players tonight and probably his job regardless of what happens to end the season.

Serious question. After this debacle, where do we go from here? It is going to be interesting to see how they come out & play Friday night.

His players have to be disappointed in comments like that. How you go in the locker room and look your guys in the eye when you don't have their back should be really difficult.

They got tossed because Willie wouldn’t say anything. This was a complete meltdown and them getting tossed was a message to Willie.

I really don’t understand how Willie didn’t get tossed tonight. Zion started the game 3/3. He then was fouled on 4 straight misses. This all happened while Banchero was getting 9 fts in the first half. Suggs flopped into getting 3 fouls. Joel and AD were pointing out how physical Orlando was on defense. The Gary Harris play deemed not a flagrant should have been an automatic ejection from Willie. I would have lost it. If that wasn’t enough, when Isaac put two hands on Zion and pushed him when setting a screen which led to an Ingles 3 then Zion gets fouled on the other end by Wagner and no call, Willie allowed Z to get the tech and not him. At some point you have to stick up for your guys. You have to make a stand when your team is getting crapped on, especially in your building.

Then I would consider tonight a rousing success for the team’s future.

He is a really bad head coach, most of us have seen that the entire season, hope Griffin does as well.

Feels like bitching about the refs is all anyone does anymore. Not talking just about Pels. It's everywhere every time a team loses. It's like the biggest job a coach should have is staying up the refs arses all game. It's like watching hockey for the fights or nascar for the crashes. It's a side show that's become the main attraction. Somehow bitching, whining and moaning has become a sign of toughness. The refs don't care who wins. They blow some calls. Basketball is no fun to watch if 75% of the game comes down to how you work or don't work over the refs. How about the refs call the game and the players play the game and the coaches coach the game. If there is a systematic problem rather than game to game anomalies, data analysis should pick that up and the front office can take it up with the league. The way it is now it seems the players are almost more focused on whether they got the call than playing the game.
