Why so much love for gentry

And so much hate for dantoni with the media and fans? Both offensive guys but dantoni actually built that Suns team that gentry coached. Dantoni been fired twice and considered damaged goods while gentry fired 4 times but has " experience ". Yea I woulda rathered dantoni but starting to come around with gentry

People (media/players) like Gentry. D'Antoni has rubbed some the wrong way. I still love D'Antoni.

If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. There was a handful of pro gentry posters before the hire, but the board seemed to be pretty solidly pro JVG. Now we are having to dig a little deeper and find the positives in the hire.

D'antoni had probably the two crown jewel jobs in the NBA and the best he did was get swept in the 1st rd. It wasn't all on him but that's gonna leave a mark.

i don't think dantoni built anything. i don't think he had personnel power. gentry did take that roster and improve its offense, though

his stint in NY, as well as how he got there, is a big issue. then he coached the disaster that was the lakers. he burned bridges everywhere he's been
gentry has done the opposite. that's one reason his record is so bad. he's been given the reigns as an interim coach multiple times b/c owners trust him to not make waves in a bad situation. he's always employed as a top assistant when he's not a HC.

well Gentry gets shite teams.
