1. AD went down with the injury at halftime but helped the Pels dominate in the 2nd quarter. His shooting really prevented Dallas (Dirk) from going on a run. That maybe set the tone.

2. Holiday playing longer minutes in the 1st quarter

3. Smith's penetration and contributing his first career double double

4. Anderson's monster 3rd quarter in AD's absence

5. Team Defense!

Definitely #5. For most of the night all 5 guys were hustling on defense. They didn't always stick with their guy but they were always chasing their guy and other people helped out until they recovered.

You mean #15?

I'm gonna go with either Ryno or Ish.

Actually I was talking about #5 in the OP, Team Defense, but Gee had a nice game. If you can put him in situations where all you need him to do is play hard defense and dunk, he's great. Asking him to take open 3s was about as awkward as asking Asik to take that open 15 footer.

Defense. Was pretty sure the Mavs would make a run and make it a game. They tried, but the Pels tightened up and it was a laugher. Everyone was on the same page and moving together. Just not a lot of good looks for the Mavs. Hopefully they are turning the corner.

Ryan Anderson looked almost like a good defensive player. That is a miracle. Also, must say, his post game is much better. Didn't settle for too many turnaround fadeaways and they smartly got switches and let him abuse guards down low.

I chuckled out loud when he did that

agreed. Ryno lite is also faster. That put-back dunk he made to tie the ATL game over the weekend was agile.

Funny that both happened last night too
