You've got to give him at the very least two more years. You can't just throw people together and expect to be competing for a championship that same season. To throw out the coach after only the first year just stunts the growth of the team together.

No one expects to be competing for a championship this season.

But it's these built in excuses before we've had a practice bugs me. We have legit talent now. No more rebuild talk shite. Monty better show marked improvement or he will be gone by the all star break.

as long as he is in the playoffs he will be fine, but if we don't make it he will be on the hot seat. He won't be fired unless we completely shite the bed

I'm not saying he should be fired if we have another terrible season this year, but at what point do we realize that we can't constantly say "We need time to build chemistry", "It's a rebuilding effort", etc...year after year.

We have made 2 important roster changes in Jrue and Reke. It's a legitimate excuse this year.

No it's not. I will say that early losing streaks will be easier to ignore than later losing streaks, but the training wheels are off. I defended Monty last year because he was in a position where it was hard to accurately judge him, not because I think he's so good he's above criticism. It's time for him to show us if he's the guy we want for the next 10 years.

Yea, I've changed my mind. I'm re-watching a Hornets game from last year and this might be the worst offense I've ever seen. The Defensive rotations are pretty shitty also.

It's time to fire him.

Right now, before they start the season? Sounds about right.

Edit: idk if that's sarcasm so whatever.

Take advantage of having a pg that can ball.
Take advantage of "tank for wankerns" effect arround the league

Should be good

Look, no doubt we have to give this team time to gel under game conditions, right? But, yes, after the holidays or so we should see a team that has found its rotations for the most part and hitting its stride. Depending upon the roster that finally comes together this season, I think we still have to be realistic with our expectations. Certainly, we should at least be able to sniff the playoffs, but if we are edged out in the end by a game or two I'm not going to be screaming for Monty to be fired.

Not a record but he needs to make the playoffs. Even with the same roster from last year, he needed to make it this coming year. I still hate him, btw. He will only win me over when they reach the WCF.

-06 Heat went to ECF when Shaq joined.
-Celtics won it all
-Heat made Finals.
-97 Rockets made WCF
-04 Lakers made Finals

Says who?

that's a long time in the NBA...

minimum 40 games i think, although 40-42 would be a little disappointing with the talent we have.
