What do you think Dell will do this summer

I think he offers a max to Barnes as a desperate move to bring a potential star next to AD and a guy who already played with Gentry and is around AD's she.
If not Barnes I think he signs Dudely.
In the draft he grabs Jamal Murray
In role player I think he will go after a Jammer Nelson type player.

I think he takes a long vacation and then begins searching for an assistant GM job somewhere. Thats my guess.

We will see. You don't handcuff your GM at a critical trade deadline if you have a lot of faith in him.
Hard for me to imagine him back next season unless we start to play a lot better then we have been. Injuries and a playoff berth didn't save Monty, not sure why Demps would be safe achieving less?
But if we are just assuming no change, I think everything will be win now moves. Which is the danger of this situation.

If he stays and ryno walks, you can definitely fire him.

I agree that Dell has to be shown the door this summer. He has been here for 6 years and his best move was the sign and trade for Ryno (which come this summer we will have nothing to show for). We have no assets except for our draft pick this year (I'm obviously not including AD) and any momentum we had after last season is long gone. If we keep him around I think he will absolutely do more "win now" moves in order to save his own arse. Bye felecia

Dell isn't getting fired this year I wish you guy shut up with that. People are blaming him for the win now method but that wasn't his idea the owner told him to do that.

Whether Demps is back or not, combine the mandate from above to not trade the pick and the whispers of Dumars helping with the draft and I don't think they make a win now pick. That being said a more NBA ready player like Hield or even trading the pick might be the best use of it.

It is crazy how every poster that has declared his job status as safe in a definitive manner never addresses and squares that with the very real inside accounts about other GM's not knowing who to call and Demps being handcuffed from above. How do you square that???
Those sort of issues just aren't things you see when a guys job is completely safe.

Yeah, its hard to get a beat on Dumars with all the conflicting rumors and none from a super solid source(at least that I have seen).

If Dumars is helping on the draft that's great his last draft picks were KCP, Middleton, Drummond, and Knight.
