Dell would have to get really creative to make any major moves. I think we aren't gonna see a lot of turnover.

I think we just try to resign Asik and try to use the MLE to add another 3. lf we can stay healthy next season that is an uprgrade itself. Lets just pray that they do away with the conferences for playoffs, because then we will be the 10-12 seed (if we stay healthy).

Layman question: Why does Asik make $15 mil a year and is highest paid player on team?

Poison pill contract. It doesn't matter what he makes. He only counts towards 8.3 on the salary cap

he doesn't. his cap hit is in the low $8M range, which is his market value. when Asik was a RFA, houston offered him a contract with this year being the "poison pill" so that chicago, the team who he was on at the time, would be in luxury tax land if they re-signed Asik. chicago could not match due to this, so Houston signed him

$15M is irrelevant unless you're the trust that owns the team. $8.33M is the number

I'd rather throw a massive deal at Kahwi Leonard and force the Spurs to match it.

Okay, thanks guys.

Considering the Pels traded a 1st rounder for him and he'll be an UFA, will the Pels re-sign him?

this board vastly overrates what our center options would be if we let him walk. i think monty's defensive system hurts him

he's kind of useless against a team like GS though, unless we help on the pnr and get defenders to crash (which leaves shooters open)

Good enough. I'm new to NBA salary cap, so just curious.

From what I've been reading the salary cap is expected to expand dramatically in 2016, 2017 seasons. AD will need to be re-signed in 2016. Jrue, QPon, Tyreke all have contracts though 2016. Gordon has a player option next season for $15 mil, then UFA. I would assume he opts to stay.

That correct?

Ryno/EG are expiring as well next season

I doubt we make any huge moves. Mle 3+D will be the most likely addition.
