I hate to say this but someone has to go so we can grab another big body. I know it's been discussed a bunch on the boards so let's hear the options out there.

Only 2 player I wouldn't consider
Jrue
AD

The correct translation of Ajinca is "championship".

I don't think we can take anything off the table.

This teams core is Jrue and AD though. You can build around those 2. Tyreke or Ryno are hard to trade. These are our fan favorites but we got to be thinking big picture.

Ya. A former rookie of the year in his prime playing lights out is the future.

T he only answer is Gordon trade.

U trade reke you have a grand total of one person who can create their own shot.

Seriously, we do need another solid big. I don't think he has to be a scorer. Just a solid defender, rebounder and tough.

AD, Jrue and Reke aren't going anywhere.

Although he's our most promising trade bait, there's no way Anderson goes unless we get someone truly good in return, imo. An impact player. Anderson's contract is favorable and, despite any limitations, he's a deadly shooter. All shooters have bad streaks, but the groove comes back. The only knock against Anderson is that he's truly a 4 with defensive liabilities. He's not as bad as some people suggest, though, and he hustles. Always near the ball and usually makes something good happen

A healthy Gordon plus other pieces makes sense, but finding a taker is problematic right now.

I absolutely agree with this.

I understand your point, but I don't see it happening unless the return is something we just can't pass up.

I don't think Gordon alone can get the pelicans what they need. Maybe if you add Jason Smith to the package, but still, Gordon just won't get you what he could have a few years ago.

It really blows my mind why people continually want to trade Ryno especially if we plan to build around AD, Jrue, and Tyreke. Those guys need to the lane to be open to be really effective. Ryno makes that happen.

Oh I agree. There would have to be some additional pieces or something to sweeten the deal.

I don't think we can land any of the bigger named 5s.

If we landed Hawes or Monroe we would have to move a lot of salary to pay them this summer. Pek isn't going anywhere, especially with what we are willing to offer. Rockets would want Ryno for Asik, and we don't want that trade.

I just don't think we can trade for someone that we would really want at C, and I think we're going to have to trade Gordon for expirings to get him out of here. I hope I'm wrong

Teams been playing well with Gordon out, if u can get a solid big in return I say do it, however Gordon seems to have bought in this year, and is solid when healthy...Anderson is solid, he is often defensive liability because our lack of depth at the 4 and 5...if we get a solid defensive big, we can play Anderson at the three some and if he gets beat we'll have AD and "Bynum" lol protecting the rim

Again, I don't think we need anything like a "star" at the 5. Just a strong, serviceable big who isn't too foul prone.

I really wish we would give Ajinca(sp) some 15 or so mins a game to see what we have. Stiesma is just bad (him kicking it out to the other team when he was slightly contested 2 ft from the basket was the nail in the coffin for me)

Well, Ajinca is still learning how to fit in with his teammates and get comfortable in his role, Stiemsma has been out for over a month and isn't really in shape, and Smith is also hurt right now.

I'm not opposed to a trade, but I'd like to wait a couple of weeks first and see what our current bigs really look like when we're at full strength.

That would be the best trade in the history of sports for us, which would make it nearly impossible. But yes, I would do.

Just throwing this out there . . . but Ryno's role isn't, or at least shouldn't be, a banger or big time scorer in the paint.
