Hield will probably have a triple double in his debut

Oh yeah, Cousins was the issue tonight. Vlade is laughing his arse off that the franchise player he traded for peanuts was one block from a 5 for 5 in his first game with the other team.

Wouldn't surprise me at all with history of former NOLA players lighting it up once they leave.

The problem was with the players the Pelicans already had. Jrue showed the world tonight that he isn't a big time PG.

Vlade should be laughing at the fact that he's stealing money

He's going to get the 4th overall pick and two serviceable guards for a guy that wasn't going to re sign anyway. It's better than what we got for Anderson or Gordon.

Yea he sucks. One game following a week off is always a solid foundation to establish a player's value.

Harden had an off night and still made his presence known in different ways. This is what a TRUE MAX player does on a consistent (keyword consistent) basis. Jrue is not that. Deal with it.

Yeah lets compare Holiday, and Harden.

Holiday:
The Pelicans starting lineup
a) Different starting SG who is not good
b) Different Center who is Elite.
c) The Star player basically had a completely different role because Davis had basically been a small ball 5 recently.
The Pelicans supporting cast
a) The best bench scorer was brand new (Omri)
b) All of the good bench players he is familiar with are gone.

Conclusion: They had no Offense last night. Jrue had no idea what was going on because NO ONE had any idea what was going on. Last night was like telling a pro quarterback: Hey we just traded for Odell Beckem and Julio Jones. They don't know the offense though so they are just going to run around, but make sure you keep looking to throw them the ball. He was so busy trying to figure out what to do he played poorly as would ANYONE in that situation.

Harden? Oh right he had the EXACT SAME STARTING LINEUP he had been practicing with for weeks. Brewer who they traded away had played 4 mins in the last 10 games. Harden's team was basically the same they just upgraded the bench with a catch and shoot guy which is exactly what he is accustomed to seeing in his offense.

So this comparison is entirely unfair in almost every regard.
