I don't think we can resign him. He wouldn't be the worst option as a bench guy.

It's the right thing to do.

I don't even know what a Reke/ Cousins team would look like. It would be both of them giving up on team plays about five minutes in the first quarter when they start dribbling at the three point line driving to the rim trying to show each other up with AD crashing boards going, "C'mon guys!"

He's kind of like a poor man's Jimmy Butler. Personally, I think he's a better distributor than Jrue when given the task. If he can be signed I wouldn't be opposed.

Tyreke is a better point gaurd than Jrue, which was clearly evident when we made the playoffs. He's also a pretty good individual defender b/c of his length, just not a good team defender.

I think Gentry didn't like him though, and wants to move on from Reke. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him back though, and starting with Jrue, and telling him to be the point guard. That's only if we don't make a trade for a good player.

I can't confirm this because I'm not sure I've ever seen him pass the ball. I would be against bring bully ball back. Joel Myers nailed that one.

he put up better numbers, and we won more, when he was playing while Jrue was hurt in the playoff year. There were many articles written about how well he played the point to close the season out. His two best seasons in the NBA where the two lone season he played point guard. That cat is a point guard, in a small forwards body.

Tyreke will never be part of a successful team bc that usually means their GM know what they're doing

Dude is low IQ and thinks he's an alpha

It's nice to know I'm not the only one on this board who remembers how well Tyreke played when Jrue was injured and he had to play point.

With his ability to penetrate, get to the hole and finish or dish to an open big if they try to double, a case can be made that he's a better point guard fit for this roster than Jrue, especially with Cousins now in the mix.

That's not to knock Jrue. I think under any other coach Reke puts up better numbers than he did in his two years with Gentry.

I get Gentry not liking him and how he didn't fit Gentry's system, but the direction the Pels appear to be going in the argument could be made that he's the better fit, primarily based on his superior ability to get to the rim, finish and create.

Getting cousins was great, but the guys we had to give up to get him are the exact type players we need for this to be a complete team. I know Buddy's a non-starter but Tyreke and Galloway would be very nice additions. Galloway never got much publicity, but he was nails from downtown.

Absolutely not. A HUGE ball stopper who can't shoot. It's not like he's a great defender to compensate either. It would literally take the ball out of our best players' hands, slow down and dumb down our offense, and have zero pay off.

He shot 40% from three on four attempts a game for the kings. His three point shot has improved, he just doesn't know how to play off the ball.

I'm mainly worried about his knee. But he's talented enough to get minutes as a guard on our team

He was not bought out. He is a free agent. We can sign him if we wanted. Some team will pay him, but it wont be us.

I doubt he gets a big contract, even in this market. He's a ball stopper with a bad knee.
