Stream the games online. You could even buy a cable to connect your computer to your TV.

This. -OR- If you want, only carry cox for five or six months of the year. There are usually cheap packages that expire after six months.

If you're willing to walk you can park for free and tickets can be had for under $5 on sites like stubhub. It would get expensive to "follow" the team even from the cheap seats, but going to the occasional game should be manageable for even the poorest fans.

Channelsurfing.net usually has a feed of the games. It's crappy quality but you can follow it. The games are broadcast on the radio 106.7 in NO and 94.1 in BR. And getting the play by play of the games at nba.com is not that bad considering it's a text feed of the action.

yeah, when games aren't on Cox, I stream online. And you can find tickets for most games under $10 bucks if you pick them up on stubhub/ticketexchange/scalpers

I actually enjoy the radio broadcast a lot. They bring some more detailed stat analysis than the CST broadcast

not to mention getting screwed in game 7 against san antonio by the refs, tim donawhatever, LeBron...the NBA is a hard product to fall in love with without exposure...I mean the hornets have no exposure in their OWN market

I can't go to games this year because all of my classes run late (my professor did ditch out the other night for the OKC game)

for now, I'll just have to stick with my ipad app and watching friday or saturday night games at mid-city bulldog and half moon bar...I'm not doing online streaming because I have too much shite to do...16 Saints games...I can watch every one...82 Hornets games with no exposure...I'll have to stay a casual (some consider bandwagon) fan

Right excatly what I want to do watch some piss poor quality internet stream on my nice HD TV when I pay out the arse for Cox service and live in the area. It's gonna be hard for the Hornets to develope a solid fanbase as long as cox has their hands tied with this BS. There is no reason why away games shouldn't be broadcasted in the NOLA area. Dumb move on cox's part too, what could trump a Hornets BBall game when they are going for 10 wins? Women's volleyaball?

We can all do it... And a lot of us don't even live in New Orleans (I do, for the record). If you it's pretty easy to follow the team. If you don't want to try then that's your own problem.

Yep...if the games were on fox 8 or WWL 4 then attendance and local interest would not be a problem

29.99$ plus tax...it was $32.40 for the rest of the games played this year. The feed is way fricking better than atdhe and channelsurfing too , which surprised me. Technology has gotten really fricking cool to an OG like me , last night I drove home from the gym with Denver v Wash going on my iPhone . NBA fans have no more excuses , you can truly watch games wherever the frick you want.

I don't think you've thought this one through. Most games are broadcast Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 2 1/2 hours in prime time. Network affiliates are not going to preempt network programming for local NBA games.
