Chris Finch is the offensive guy. J.B. Bickerstaff re-vamped the defense this year. Last year the defense was Kelvin Sampson's responsibility, but he left for the U of H head coaching job.

Watching that Grantland piece on yalls success on Hardens misses at the rim made my mouth water just thinking on what would happen if we converted that percent of Tyrekes misses.

I think I read that but I'm not sure. Was it talking about even when Harden misses that teammates get the put-back most of the time? So when Harden attempts a lay-up there is like an 80% chance it results in points or some ridiculous number like that?

Why would it matter as long as it is effective?

He's always had great defenses.

Times 1000. If Davis loses a couple of percentage points on defensive stats, but we defend better as a whole, count me in.

We were a shite show at the time. Everyone knew that CP wanted out and almost forced his way out that year, and we were owned by the league. We were a disastrous sinking ship.

Totally different circumstances now.

maybe but he still snobbed that nose at us

Matt Moore tweeting some now and posted a story about how his relationship with the front office is beyond repair.

Tom Thibodeau's job is reportedly in jeopardy. (USATSI) Tom Thibodeau's job is reportedly in jeopardy. (USATSI)

Rumors of a rift between Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau and those above him in the team's power structure have persisted for a long while, and the latest report on the matter sounds rather troubling. From the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson:

Despite the two seasons left on the four-year extension Thibodeau took several months to sign in the 2012-13 season, several league sources believe Thibodeau's relationship with management is beyond repair. And while there are no plans to replace Thibodeau during the season, a mutual parting of the ways after this season wouldn't surprise many league personnel familiar with the deteriorating dynamic.

When Bulls general manager Gar Forman elected not to renew the contract of assistant coach Ron Adams in the summer of 2013, it was widely believed that Thibodeau was rather displeased. More recently, the front office reportedly has tried to influence Thibodeau to reduce his players' minutes, but the coach obviously hasn't complied and has repeatedly denied it's an issue. From the Chicago Tribune again:

"The only way you can improve execution and timing is really through repetition," Thibodeau said. "The only way you get repetition is you have to practice. … There's the school of thought that less minutes are better. There's also the school of thought that when you do less, you also become deconditioned."

We have terrible execution. That sounds like exactly what this team needs, someone to ride Tyreke to pass and Ryno to rebound.

- This sounds like an NBA version of Harbaugh.

- Derrick Rose is worse than Eric Gordon. Dude has played 85 games in the last 3.5 seasons. He dictates the moves of the FO and is owed 40mil over the next 2 years.

- Getting a guy in here that's made a quasi-contender out of scratch year-in, year-out would be un-freaking-believable.

- You'd probably need to upgrade the training staff as well. A coach who runs his players ragged + this training staff = disaster.

Let a man dream.

This would definitely be a concern of mine but I still would absolutely love to have him. If he's available and we still hire Avery Johnson, I quit.

My dream would have Thibs walk out on Chicago and replace Monty as the head coach, while keeping Monty on the staff. Doesn't seem plausible though.

It would be awesome if Thibs left Chicago mid season and joined Monty's staff.

None of this seems like it's possible or I've never heard of anything like that happening before.

Can you imagine what kind of player AD would be defensively under Thibs? He's already one hell of a player, but his defense can still improve.

This would make to much sense to actually happen.

Sounds exactly like a JH situation with the 49ers.

In regards to playing his starters too much, I remember a report back in the day that his reply to the FO was " give me better bench players". Our starters would be playing all 48 here
