Man I just disagree with all of that. Holiday is a very good NBA PG and is still quite young. And, we have him on a pretty solid deal.
And in the West, you have to have a really good PG. Think of who the PGs are in the West. Westbrook, CP3, Curry, Parker, Dragic / Bledsoe, Conley, Lillard, Ellis, Lawson, etc. You have to have a solid PG to go against those guys. And Holiday is better than solid... and is 1 of the best defensive PGs in the NBA.
Pierre would get destroyed going against those guys. And by getting rid of Holiday for Pierre, that gives us a glaring hole at the PG spot again, which is the arguably the most important position in basketball.
AD and Holiday are the only 2 guys that are untouchable. You are underestimating Holiday based on what we saw from him this past season. It was a very small sample size and most of that sample size he was acclimating to the system and offense that we run.

I think Holiday has the tools to be a elite pg in this league but not the mentality. He's a great shooter, passer, and rebounder but he doesn't have that edge of cp3, Westbrook, and Rose that would make him take over games. We've seen a couple games this season but he only plays like that rarely.
