I've been there ever since we got Asik.

Who's first? regardless, i'd do that.

I want Al Jefferson and no Asik.

Not sure how legit it was. IIRC, it was a guy on PR that said that, who had some other info ahead of time.

That was before they gave the Morris twins a lot of money. We'd probably need to get a 3rd team involved to make it happen now.

True. I believe it was the week leading up to the draft, when Phoenix has multiple 1st as well.

I still laugh when I think about the Suns giving the Morris twins a set up of money, and letting them decide how to split it up.

Hopefully the good one gets the biggest bedroom.

Detroit still makes a lot of sense for Ryno, and I'd love to get Green, but we are fighting with Phoenix for the 8 seed so they aren't just going to give him to us. We'd probably have to do some 3 way that they get well compensated like:

Pistons get Ryno
Suns get Pistons 1st, Kyle Singler
Pels get Green, Jerbko, Datome

You do get Green's Bird Rights, but if you don't resign him you just dumped your most tradeable asset for a rental...again.

Random idea

We trade Ryno and asik

We get green and monroe

Pistons get Ryno and a Suns first

Suns get asik and singler

Is this even legal? And would you do it? Seems like a good deal for most parties involved

No, Phoenix needs to send out about $5 million more to someone. Brandan Wright would work except he can't be combined with other players since he just got traded.

I think part of why Detroit stretched Josh Smith was to try and keep Monroe, so I don't think they'd be interested. It's hard to figure how Monroe would impact the Pels. He's not known as a defender but he's big enough to take on centers (would he be any better than Ryno at that?) and he's a good rebounder. I lean towards no but I wouldn't melt down over it if it happened.

No way SVG does this.

I always loved Ryno's game, but he's only having a so-so year. While Singler and Datome are not good players, Jerebko is emerging into one of SVGs guys. Not to mention that a huge reason why Smith was waived (and not traded) was to keep their 1st rounder. No way they flip it to land Ryno.

We get Monroe/Green/Plumlee/Dinwiddle($700k filler)

Pistons get Ryno

Suns get Asik/Singler

trade works money wise. I'd like it.

You know your team better than us, but this makes zero sense. It doesn't look like Detroit owes their pick to anybody and they were tanking just fine with Smith, so how does stretching Smith have anything to do with the pick? Keeping Monroe and SVG's sanity seem like better reasons.

Trade Machine doesn't show Dinwiddle and says Phoenix needs to send out $2.4 million more with just Green and Plumlee going to NOLA.

For lack of a better explanation, I personally just don't think he wanted to deal with Smith anymore, nor the certain media circus that would come if he just rode the bench. I also think SVG values Monroe greatly, and wants to see more of him and Drummond together to gauge if he wants him to return or not. Monroe is an unrestricted FA.

Reports suggested that SVG would have to trade away their 1st-rounder in addition to Smith, compensation for any team taking on his inflated contract. SVG said he didn't want to lose the pick and that it would only halt/delay the huge rebuild. That was, of course, when the Pistons were 5-23 and couldn't beat Philly or Minnesota.

These are good reasons too.

Ennis to the Pistons was missing, still not sure why it told me $2.4 though, Ennis only makes $1.6.

All that means is he didn't want to send it to Sacramento with Smith while Detroit got saddled with Sacramento's overpaid mediocre bigs.

I do not get this board's love affair with Gerald Green. He's a competent wing, but he doesn't fit this team IMO.

1) He has only played well in PHX in a run and gun system that has given him the green light to shoot at all times. That isn't NO.

2) He takes 2 more shots Per 36 than any other Pels player. Complaints about sharing and Davis's touches would go through the roof.

3) In a thread largely (and correctly) slamming Anderson's lack of defensive ability, Green isn't known to bring much to that end.

4) He's about to turn 30. For a guy who has lived off his athleticism, betting on him over the next few years is not a sure thing, even with his low mileage and improved game.

If there's any wing on PHX we should be having a hard on for, its Tucker. A real D and 3 guy.

Green would be great as a Gordon or Evans replacement, but he's not the answer at SF given this roster.

It's because

I'd rather PJ Tucker too, but I'm assuming he isn't available and people are tired of Babbit pump fakes and Salmons anywhere near the court. Hopefully Dante and QPon will calm us down some.
