What does the Pelicans depth chart look like?

Is Tyreke expected to start?

Who is the back-up PF?

I'm trying to get a sense of what the roster looks like.

Tyreke won't be ready to start the season and many expect they'll try to trade him once he is healthy. The backup PF is some order of Cunningham, Jones, Hill in small ball and Diallo. More importantly might be Asik and Ajinca needing to be competent so AD can play more PF with the backup PF being a big ?

Holiday/Frazier/Galloway
Moore/Hield
Hill/QPon
AD/Jones/Cunningham/Diallo
Asik/Ajinca

Tyreke won't be ready for the start of the season and shouldn't be considered on the depth chart. I think it looks something like:

Jrue/Galloway/Frazier/Moore
Moore/Hield/Qpon/Galloway
Hill/Qpon/Jones/DC
AD/Hill/Jones/DIallo/DC
Asik/AD/Ajinca/Diallo

Obviously match ups would change some of that. I also see some small ball lineups with Jrue at 2, Moore at the 3, hill at the 4, etc.

1. AD performance
2. Defensive chemistry- the rest doesn't matter if we can't defend
2a.Hill performance- Welcome to expectations over pleasant suprise
3. Hield performance- Need him early to be the lottery player he
is.
4. AD Health
5. Health of team- Feel we will better absorb injuries to key
players for short stretches.
6. Jrue's performance, but added depth makes it easier if he's not
playing well or hurt.
7. Tyreke's role when he comes back and/or what we can get at
deadline. Either way, he must play well for us to get to the
playoffs.
8. Gentry's scheme and rotations early to know defined roles.
9. Asik's performance. I don't expect much and if he can't
produce, he won't finish games (Hill/Jones PF and AD at C) and
I'm confident Dell will find another Diamond in the rough.
10.Ething else....

I cannot expect anything more than 35-40.

I was thinking on the lines of 38-40.

Now though, I'm like VOR, purple is my favorite Kool-aid too. I'm now in the 40-43 range now.

And if Reke misses a substantial amount of games, I may even increase that.

This draft and other acquisitions we made.... are steps in the right direction....

Next years draft and off season acquisitions will be key.
