This isnt even up for debate now.

Between Zion and BI now we baby people too much when its crunch time.

Hot take or not, its abundantly clear now.

How so? The training staff has been proven correct every step of the way with Zion.

Second, what do you know about BI that makes you so certain they handled his injury incorrectly?

No one outside of the pels organization has even the slightest clue whether or not Zion or BI are healthy enough to play.

So it is up for debate

He comes back early from that hamstring and you can kiss him playing the season goodbye.

It's evident, if he's ready they're gonna get him back vs LA Lakers on a b2b.

Really? Did holding Zion out for an extra month change his biomechanics and prevent further injury? Did they prevent a setback in his recovery from the foot fracture? If you hold a guy out for an extra month it better damn sure achieve what you say it will achieve.

BI has now missed 20+ games for a bruised hip and a minor hamstring which wasn’t even graded a grade 1. This was by far the most important game of the season and he’s been shooting and going live in practice for a week.

Every game going forward is “the most important of the season.”

He was out of shape returning, that's all the proof you need to know they had to be extra cautious.

Not sure if you're familiar with this injury, that is common and not something a staff can magically fix or make not happen.

Exactly, I have no clue why guys think they can be so certain about this, like the BI injury for example. We don't know. If he was 100% 5 days ago, he'd have played.

Nelson has the rep of the best trainer in the game, for a pretty long time but we want to critique especially when having zero facts to logically critique.

Some of yall need to get a grip where fighting for the play in where not fricking contenders.

You seen 1 video of Zion dunking and all of a sudden his ready to play full speed in the highest intensity games of the season. Did you forget the dude didn't even make it through his first 5 on 5 practice before having a setback.

More people without access to anyone’s medical charts pretending they know the first thing about the medical treatment players are receiving/need to receive.

except the staff has multiple times said “so and so player back at this range of time” only for it to prolong an extra week or so. Has happened with BI twice this season and obviously Zion the whole year. The Zion stuff is more on Griff

When?

Pretty sure they said BI would be reevaluated in 7-10 days and never that he'd be back by a certain date.

This is such a stupid argument

So what happened after the 7-10days?

To confirm, it's a stupid argument for me to say they never said when BI would be back when that is exactly what happened?

He wasn't ready to return... did you really need someone to answer that for you? You think he ws ready to return after 7-10 days?

I think most of us expected BI to not be allowed to jump right back into a back to back because that's how this training staff operates. I have no doubt that if there's data on this it is probably a better strategy than letting them immediately play back to backs. But how much better? Are we costing ourselves a few wins a year for a 5% reduction in injury risk or a 25% reduction in injury risk? I think most fans would bet it's closer to 5% and disagree that it's a worthwhile trade off.

No, the stupid part is being ok with them saying he will be reevaluated in 7-10 days, and after 20 days, still no update.

In no business is this acceptable---not even in the NBA
