Would trading Gordon/Anderson for Monroe/Ariza be worth it?

I know this team has an intirely different make-up from the Hornets teams Ariza was on, however I still have a hard time getting excited about him. I would love gaining cap space as well but I have no idea who else we could sign.

1. Obtain plutonium
2. Go 88 MPH in a DeLorean
3. Kidnap 1992 Dream team
4. Return to present
5. Buy out entire roster and replace. Luxury tax be dammed and expense be dammed.

Well Ariza on a team with Holiday, Evans, Davis, and Monroe would make him the fifth offensive option on the floor. Really his only role would be to guard the top SG/SF of the opposing team and shoot spot up 3pt shots. Seems like a great role for him.

I personally think that our talent outside of the 5 is pretty good assuming you get some legit minutes at the 3 from Tyreke.

I think people are undervaluing Gordon a ton because of his contract and injuries, but I don't think you'll get good return in trading him.

Biggest issue on this team is Williams. He's a mediocre to bad coach that refuses to adjust to his players (Think Spags with the Saints D bad). I don't think he's a horrible coach, but unlike the great coaches, he refuses to adjust to the talent he has, and instead forces his horrible system onto players that don't fit it.

1. Fire Monty, and hire a coach that fits our talent, i.e. George Karl and try to maintain the main coaches that have worked with AD outside of Monty.

2. Bring in a solid rebounder/defender at center with the MLE. I'd say a guy like O'neal/Birdman for some experience and veteran presence.

3. Bring in a decent 20-25 mpg small forward. Webster from Washington/Wilson Chandler maybe through a trade of some young guys.

4. Resign Morrow, Withey and Babbit (pick up options) and let AFA and Roberts goo.

5. Bring up Pierre Jackson.

This gives you:

C - Veteran Banger (O'Neal/Birdman)/Withey/Ajinca
PF - AD/Anderson/Babbitt
SF - Webster or Chandler/Tyreke (most of minutes)/Babbitt
SG - Gordon/Tyreke/Morrow
PG - Jrue/Pierre/Rivers

With the right coach this can work pretty darn well, and keep in tact the finishing 5 everyone was clamoring about all season.

1. build a time machine
2. go back in time to last year's draft
3. keep noel
4. noel and davis are best front court in NBA for years
5. draft a PG this year with our 1st round pick (exum or smart)

If we are building a time machine can we just make sure we made a trade with Toronto for Drummond during the draft so we would have Davis, Drummond, and Anderson as our big man rotation?

if we're doing a time machine, we should just trade up for lillard, pick up noel and keep him, and we're set this year.

Would rather Drummond than Lillard and Noel.

I don't really value Noel that much.
