He requested his release only to not get off the bench with the Bucks. He has yet to score a point with them. Meanwhile, the Pelicans are desperate for bodies and he would have gotten more of an opportunity here.

He wanted to be showcased for his next contract. The fact that he signed with the Bucks for peanuts and isn't showcasing said ability should give him an idea of what he is really worth.

His agent is a weasel. You'll see next year when Jrue bolts.

Jones should fire his agent before free agency. This was a misstep of colossal proportions for his value next year. He'd built himself up to a maybe 8-10 year guy to who knows what now. He'd have been playing heavy minutes here still post trade. This was a knee jerk move and dumb as frick. Fire the agent and maybe the next guy can salvage his deal by throwing the old agent under the bus.

Btw the he doesn't want to be here stuff is stupid.

I disagree. He sucked, and smart people in the league saw that. Fans get all excited by points in meaningless games, but he isn't a player that helps you win, and therefore he wasn't going to get played regardless.

Only thing he messed up on was location. Should have went somewhere that there was better poon tang.

Well you're wrong according to statistics. He had a very solid net rating (-2) on a team chalk full of much worse. Decent PER. 4th best on team in WS/48 behind Davis/Cousins/Asik. He didn't suck and he's a much better PF alternative next to Cousins and Davis than Solomon effing Hill or Ajinca both at (-8).

Especially considering D-Mo is getting plenty DNP himself.
