Broussard seems to think he was talking about selling and keeping the franchise more attractive for a new owner

BS. To maybe him and the 29 owners. And I don't see any suitors even with CP3 in tow currently.

What part of Paul is leaving NO come Heaven or Hell in a few months, does not the NBA HHIC not f@cking understand?

Once that time comes, without this trade's pieces coming to NO, he will make NOH the worst team in the league, movable, and/or retractable.

This is bullshite. he's leaving next year anyway so keeping him here for one more year is pointless

Yep. And I think the Hornets franchise will be in serious trouble if we don't get anything out of Chris Paul

Still doesn't make sense. How is it more valuable to keep him for a year and get nothing in return? He isn't signing an extension.

What if... there is a prospective owner to the Hornets who said I'll pay X and buy it ASAP if you make sure Paul is still there?

Could be a blessing in disguise. Paul is gone in the long term but having a viable owner with is more important (see: Mavs History). LOL

Stern's overlord attitude is shocking. It shouldn't be, but he's playing God here. He cannot force Chris Paul to sign an extension. He cannot force the Hornets to keep a player who doesn't want to be here, when we can significantly improve our team.

Then I would not want that owner because it would be obvious that he makes stupid investments. Paul is gone after the year. Would be stupid to pay for the team just because Paul is on it.

There's not, people with that kind of money don't have the business savvy of an 11 year old.

It gets even better.

"Lakers can't appeal to NBA office about Chris Paul trade block b/c the league considers the deal to have been nixed by N.O., not the NBA."

People say this stuff a lot, but it's rare for me. If Stern doesn't let us trade Paul, I'm done. Who cares about adding value to the sale when he's going to walk in a year. The fans get screwed over.

Go read the Grantland article if you haven't already. Great read going off on Stern for this.

I suppose that depends upon finding somebody with an extra $300-400 million who hasn't been reading the sports section or listening to ESPN but wants to buy the team blind. Good luck.
