Sounds more and more like Pels are committed to Gordon, at least for now.

The Pelicans have shut down some inquiries for Eric Gordon. Are they committed to him? Deal in place? Waiting for increased value? - 42

The feeling is that they are not considering offers. The question is why or why not. Maybe it's not even a question. #Perspective - 42

I'm guessing Tyreke will have to play some 3 if we retain Gordon.

We gotta be careful we don't keep him here long enough to where he never wants to leave

More committed to him = no team wants to trade for a shitty constantly injured max player

That seems to be the word.

If they can parlay GV and any other money into a SF and C that are at least competent 20 minutes at a time....

Interesting roster to say the least.

That tweet is very vague. Gordon has been available for months it seems. Maybe SAC wanted a s&T with Gordon or some other bad deals. We could be committed to another deal already.

Jrue and Gordon has the chance to be a deadly backcourt. Tyreke can spell either of them at any time and play the 3 as well. Will be a fun group to watch.

The Pelicans' plan for Tyreke only works if Gordon is on the roster. I don't think they offer Tyreke unless they plan on keeping Gordon

Possibly, but we've heard literally nothing about a potential deal. There was a source last night while we met with Tyreke that said we had no plans on moving Gordon, and now we get this info from BSS. It sounds very unlikely that there is a deal at the moment and more likely that they want to give Gordon a chance with this new group.

Very vague on purpose. I hate spreading `news' that isn't news, but I think it's information that needs to be shared.

That is, of course: There is a developing market for Gordon. This was not true, say, November 1, 2012.

As far as predicting the next two weeks, it's useless. But teams think Gordon is getting better, and maybe the Pels do, too.

Would be a VERY intriguing offensive group. Three guys that can crash the lanes with two of them being "pretty good" outside shooters.

Just as recently as a couple of weeks ago there were reports that Gordon is being shopped. My hunch is they 'shut down' offers because they weren't getting good ones. Why? People see there's a jam with the potential addition of Evans (no he ain't playing SF nor will he be rotated at $11-12 million a season) and are trying to lowball the Pels.

Hopefully some compromise is found. I don't see this guy ever playing a full season in the NBA ever again.

If we were desperately trying to get rid of him, teams would think he's worth less. Perhaps Dell is secretly not showing his cards, so other teams get hyped about Ego. Then when people are saying Reke, Holiday, and Gordon are one of the top 1,2,3 lineups in the league, boom, traded.

In any case, I wouldn't put too much hope in that tweet

The real info in the refused inquiries is . . . there are inquiries. This was not true a few months, a knee, and an ankle ago. - 42
