Personally, I'm reserving judgment until February as well. Until then, this is just noise.

I didn't understand the firing either. We're all frustrated from the lack of success, but we do not have a large enough sample size regarding Gentry and this roster to say that firing Monty was the wrong decision. All that has been said the past 2 seasons on this board was that AD is awesome, Gordon was tCornerstone that didn't wanna be here, and that Monty needed to be fired. I find the sudden love for Monty across the board to be hilarious.

I didn't want Monty gone. I missed the playoff series so maybe that would have changed my mind. I thought he was a good coach who coached through two disgruntled "franchise" players wanting out, an ownership change, and a constantly injured lineup. I thought he earned another season but said I'd support the team regardless. This team we're putting on the court however, looks as bad as Monty's first Chris Paul-less season and that inexcusable. An Anthony Davis led team should never look this bad.

Coaching lost us game 3, all by itself. Everything else was a combination of coaching and players. That game 3 against GS warranted him being axed.

AD is out there with a roster that makes the Cavaliers of 2002 look like the Dream Team. I appreciate the effort these guys put out every night and realize that the current situation sucks for all parties. Gee was supposed to be a 5 min per night guy who played 32 minutes the other night. Ish Smith and Douglas were off the street. Hell, we signed Nate Robinson in hopes he could just be a warm body and he couldn't do that. Just be patient. It's unfortunate that we were supposed to be a 6-8 seed and are playing like a 6-8 lottery pick, but it literally can't get any worse with the exception of the 76ers.

AD is out there

This alone makes the excuse less reasonable. When AD isnout, okay, but like others have said, we had more available talent than the Knicks and still lost.

I'm sure we are still paying him. Let's just tell him to come back and earn his money. Alvin can run the offense.

Monty was definitely a problem. He may have kept us a high seed in the playoffs; however, his coaching alone was causing losses.

I'm not. Monty wasn't the answer, but we hired the wrong guy.
