They both stepped up big and we're the main reason their teams won.

Aminu would be perfect for our team right now (MLE money, gives us the defense we're lacking from the wing). Rivers is fricking terrible. Sorry that I'm not upset about letting go an awful player that comes up big once every other month. And Aminu is only a good fit for us now given that we have much better outside shooting than we did when letting him go.

No one should ever long for Austin Rivers to be on their roster.

Monty Williams does not know how to use Aminu. Dude sucked in NOLA. Carlisle vs Monty. Wonder why Aminu looks competent.

His PER is up 1.2 and his win share up .2. Carlisle really unleashed the beast.

You would never be able to play Aminu and Reke on the floor at the same time.

That's just not true. Aminu/Anderson/Evans played well together last year.

Add Holiday/Q and Davis to that trio and you have an intriguing 5 man unit.

ETA: I agree with SP. Aminu/Monty isn't a good mix. Not that Aminu is some great player, but he just didn't seem to fit the system here. It happens.

Soooooo, what's your point? They both sucked when they were on our team.

I guess congrats to them both

Aminu, Reke, and Asik would be the unholy trinity of spacing.

That said, Jrue/Gordon/Aminu/Davis/Ajinca may be passable in stretches. Monty's problem was that he was given absolute horseshite for wings and was forced to start Aminu and play him way too much.

Quite the contrary, Carlisle caged the beast. 18 MPG average with Dallas vs. about 25 MPG with NOLA. We also can't have Tyreke + Aminu + Asik, that would be as terrible as Tyreke + Aminu + Stiemsma.
