Since Holiday returned they are 10th in ORtg, 4th in DRtg, and 4th in NetRtg. Going 5-2 in that time equates to a 58 win record over 82 games. Small Sample Size for sure, but very encouraging none the less.

On the year they are 21st in ORtg/11th in DRtg/15th in NetRtg LINK

Yeah those numbers didn't matter to the MSB yesterday.

I hope everybody keeps sleeping on us.

League is on notice

Good let them be ignorant to what's bearing down on them. They'll be completely caught off guard. "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women".

the -0.9 net rating is HUGE improvement
during the 0-8 start i think they were last, or next to last

11th in DRTG is also a HUGE improvement; last year they were 28th.

my gut is that this is a .500 team, but the 0-8 start will doom them in a tight race for 7/8. obviously, if they keep up anything like the recent pace that could change

right now they are 2.5 out of 8th with 4 teams in front of them

It'll never happen, but a Holiday, Heyward and Davis trio would be so f'ing fun to watch.

ETA: I feel like we are going to learn a lot about the ultimate direction of this team on Friday v the Clipshow.

probably, but, barring Davis/Holiday injury, they should be competing for a spot. don't think LAL or PDX are running away from anyone.

i guess. Clips have been very good to start, but are in a bit of a funk right now and will be on a SEGABABA.

want to see how the Pels show up v a contender, but if they lose to LAC, but beat OKC and MEM, would anyone (other than Friday night-Sunday night posters) be really upset?

Anthony hasn't missed his mandatory 20-25 games yet.

I think it is extremely encouraging; however, it is still scary the team has been depending so heavily on a godly performance so far this year by Davis. He has been insane so far. It would be nice to see a couple other people step up a little more.

The Clippers just deuced on Cleveland. Does that mean they found their groove? Might come out flat against us? Or does it not matter?

it means it's one night in a long regular season. the clips are very, very good. the cavs are very, very good.

the clips will be ending a 10 day road trip tomorrow night on a btb. i wouldnt be too shocked if they come out lethargic. also would not be surprised at all if they beat the Pels soundly.

i;m just not putting much stock into tomorrow's result one way or the other- think of the next week (4 games) as one block. Pels need to go at least 2-2. if they lose to LAC by 15, but go 3-1 i'll be happy.

Their whole team had that Cleveland game circled, I'd imagine. That would also explain how they lost to Brooklyn (where Blake was a healthy scratch, I believe).
