Just in: Heard from my source that David West will not exercise his player option and will become a free agent. Story coming soon.

Don't know what the market for him is, but bringing DWest back on a min deal would be awesome imo

Why would he opt out of over $12 million a year to sign a league minimum deal though?

I mean..... I cant say no to David West, but he doesn't fit with this team. He fit with Byron Scott and Chris Pauls offense, but not with what Gentry is about to finagle together.

I wonder if the Pacers will attempt to make a play for Love, if Hibbert opts out they'll have enough cap space for a max player. Paul George and Kevin Love could make some noise in the East.

Maybe I'm not seeing it correctly, but I feel like they would be a terrible combo.

Just Paul George and Kevin Love? They just don't seem to compliment one another all that well for two max guys.

David West could be old and gray and I would always welcome him back to the team.

I guess it would be great to have Kevin Love to rebound all of PG's missed jumpers when he inevitably fizzles out during the second half of the season.

He probably wants to go to winner before he retires.

And he will do better than the league minimum

A lot better. I mean, at the very least he would get the MLE, but I have to think he's looking for a 3 year deal at 8-ish mill per.
