Should Darren Erman be our next head coach?

Personally, I think he's done a great job in his two years. We know he can coach up a defense, I'm unsure about his philosophy on offense and if the players like him, but I'm really confident that he'd do a better job than Gentry.

I was just laughing about the report that Gentry and Demps are "still being evaluated" like our ownership has even though about the Pelicans lately, and was thinking about what the next move should be. I don't think I would hate Darren Erman being promoted.

Nope. One more shot at this, let's get a proven guy.

I don't know if he should be the head guy but I do hope that no matter what happens he's kept around.

No, the guy look like he is scared as hell whenever he has to make a decision. He appears to be better suited to be an assistant.

So you'd rather base your opinion on what his face looks like than his ability to coach?

What makes you think he would be a better head coach? He's a damn good defensive mind for sure

Thinking about what's realistically available. He's obviously very smart and capable, I don't think it would be the worst idea we could have. If AD and Boogie were indifferent, I would easily choose Erman over Gentry for next year

Do you think they would be indifferent to losing a "players coach" in favor of a guy who has never been a head coach, let alone played at any level

No. I just used the caveat to make all things equal. It obviously wouldn't be that easy but I'm just talking about coaching abilities.
