Blows my mind how a young rookie struggling in the NBA forever means Rivers sucks. Was it not known that Austin was young and needed a lot of development? He was not supposed to be put in that situation to begin with.

As a guy who was never a fan of Rivers in college or when we drafted him, I wouldn't mind seeing Rivers go, especially after his mediocre at best rookie season. Having said that, if he stays I'll continue to pull for him. If he never pans out, I can say I told you so, and if he turns out to be a player, it's great for the Pels. Win-Win for me. Kinda hope he proves me wrong and I have to eat every word.

Ummm, not only was he the worst rookie, he was the worst player in the NBA (PER). Also, arguably the worst rookie of all time.
Doesn't sound too promising to me.

In high school and college, Rivers was pretty mouthy about his talent. I expected that bark last year but it never showed.

I'm in no way hoping that he fails. I'm hoping for the exact opposite actually. BUT, if after it's all said and done, he flops, I at least have the satisfaction of saying I called it. Like I said though, I hope it never comes to that.

I don't get the pro-Rivers people
I mean the dude sucks. Yea he was getting better with his drive around the basket and was decent on defense, but a shite sandwich with some Tabasco on it is still a shite sandwich.
Franchises draft busts. shite happens. The second you just accept the fact that he isn't a very good basketball player it will save you from expecting a lot from him and it never coming.
Like I said he'll be an alright 5-10 minute back of the bench guy for 3-5 years in the league and then end up somewhere in Europe. Sure drafting the next Wade would have been nice but it is what it is.
