At a level common knowledge in the field tells us has negative implications for long term player health and game to game recovery.

Part of it is collective bargaining but the other part of it is just plain science. As Kerr said, we don't go backwards with this shite, we go forwards. Just because Wilt played the entire game doesn't mean it is the way it should be done.

Davis is the last player that should be pushing the envelope on game minutes. Especially given his play style and how physically he is played due to our crap roster that fails to take pressure off him.

If you can get a top 3 pick and trade it with Buddy for a disgruntled Paul George then AD will get over it,
Of course.

but if you can't swing something like that this offseason it might be time to do what Utah did with DWill and preemptively trade your franchise player.
Fuuuuuuuuuck no. Not important to this conversation, but prime DWill and AD are not even comparable for many reasons. ADs much better than DWill ever was. And Utah was coming off of 20 years of contending, pre-DWill. This franchise is not in that position, to say the least. DWill was their best player. AD is literally our franchise.

I love basketball and I love watching a 23 year old future hall of famer night after night on the team I root for, even if the team sucks. Even more than I enjoyed CP.

Maybe its irrational, but I enjoy watching AD do insanely ridiculous things nightly, even in losses, more than I would if we switched rosters with Utah, for example.

They have a nice team. That group will probably win some playoffs series'. But in the end history will forget Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert and company.

We have Anthony Davis on our roster right now. He'd literally have to go on a world tour slamming the city, the organization, and saying he's never gonna play another game here, before i'd trade him.

Don't worry. Next year when we suck again, you'll get your wish. I believe at that point AD will be trying to force his way out of this hell hole.

And in the end they'll remember New Orleans for wasting 2 generational talents in a row with 2 different ownership groups. Better to be infamous than anonymous I suppose.

I understand wanting to hold on to a player like AD until the last possible second, and I don't think it's crazy for the team to be surprisingly good in 2018 if Buddy and Diallo work out and they hit on at least one of their picks next year. And if that happens who knows what opportunities with star players will line up in 2019. But I just have zero faith in this organization right now. Even Ferry taking Demps place and bringing in some up and coming assistant as the HC wouldn't get me excited. I need to see a commitment from Loomis/Benson with someone like JVG/Cal.

Oh, I don't have any faith in them turning it around. Don't get me wrong

I've just decided as a basketball fan i'd rather watch AD be great on a bad team, than watch a solid team full of decent players who ultimately have no chance against Golden State anyway.

And Loomis is a loser with no business having either one of his jobs, especially the NBA one. Thats why i've never believed he'd voluntarily give up any control of the team to someone like JVG or Cal. And those guys certainly don't want to work under a failing football guy.

I'm pretty much done. I don't care.

Haven't watched a game in about 2 weeks.

And that says something for a relative diehard just giving up. Especially with a player have an astoundingly good season.

When they fire Demps I'll start paying attention.

Yeah, this is kind of where I'm at too. I'm sure a good win streak will suck me back in, but it's hard to watch a team where winning or losing is dependent on Terrence Jones and Langston Galloway having hot shooting nights.

Thats where i'm at with the Saints. Not the Pelicans though.

And getting rid of Demps doesn't move me one way or another. The problem is more systemic. Loomis would still be the overseer regardless.

A meh attitude on draft picks and development, win now, won't change. Its a mirror of how Loomis and Payton built the Saints. Brees obviously worked out unbelievably well, but that was the first look into their thinking. Passed up drafting a QB to bring in a guy ready to win on day 1. Picks to bring in Vilma, Shockey, Ellis, etc.

I expect the next GM to get the same orders.

Honestly I'm there for both. And I NEVER thought I would say that about the Saints.

I left the game yesterday with like 9 minutes left. I've never done that.

I just said frick this. Its about to rain. I'm out.
