If people believe that the moves made the last 2 years were not designed to get the team into the playoffs as soon as possible I don't know what to say.

That doesn't mean you can't like or dislike what he's done. We won't know for a while if they are bad moves or good moves. But the intention is pretty clear: they don't want to wait to have success and get into the playoffs. They are happy to send away long term assets for more immediate (and still reasonably long term) return.
