Question regarding AD's contract

Many idiots on twitter/ESPN are saying he'd be an idiot to sign a max instead of a one year, then sign a max after with us or another team for more money when the cap explodes.
Wouldn't he get whatever the max is in 2016 and beyond? Is there ANY reason he'd sign a one year deal?

To answer the question; no they are mistaken. His extension will be signed this summer and kick in 16/17 like Kyrie's max will kick in next season.

I would think he runs a years worth of injury risk. If he gets injured on a one year deal he may never sign that big extension if it were serious enough.job security in accepting now.

Max contracts are based on a percentage of cap, so it doesn't benefit him to take a QO or anything
