This team just quits if they get down early. Defensive head coach who's teams are garbage/lazy on that end of the floor. If Monty sticks around, we will (for the most part) beat teams we should beat due to talent, split with average/above average teams, and lose to good teams.

Running offense through Jason Smith all night long while Eric does nothing. Stand by while Smith continues to be a turnstile on D to any and every decent big in the league.

The roster has a nice core and will win games due to talent but will never be a legit contender with Monty Williams.

No one, but that doesn't mean we have to run so much of the offense through him

There is no excuse for the poor play by the backcourt so far. While the bigs are playing shitty defense at least they are getting something done on the offensive end.

fricking teach Smith something. He won't be a force but he can be a cerebral defensive player. You're a defensive head coach and you can't get a horrible player to at least below average? You don't think Pop would get something out of Smith on that end? You think he would continue running offense, 18 foot jumpers nonetheless, through Jason Smith?

it's the same thread after and/or during every game.

if you wanna say something new, then i'd love a minutes breakdown for who you would play and when with this lineup that's available tonight. i'm anxiously awaiting your brilliant ideas. i'm sure there will be just great.

Thibs, Pop, and Phil wouldn't be able to make Anderson and Smith a good defensive post duo.

He is what he is and there's no one else to put in. Stop bitching about the same fricking thing every game since we can't change it.

I have watched every game. I understand what Monty is working with. My point is this is what we get with Monty. We will be the Sixers and Bobcats but get run out of the building against a legitimate offensive team. And he's a defensive coach. I know he has to play Smith but he's shown no improvement on that end of the floor.

Williams is having major issues implementing his defense this year. I expect this to be the case the entire season. The defense Williams want the team to play is not going to happen night in and night out. Why should anyone be surprised by this.

Read, son. I would be happy with below average, I know they will never be good.

Because he was brought in as a young, up and coming defensive minded HC

that is a lineup issue. when they can key in on two players and say "we'll give you a smith jumper or AFA touching the ball all day," you're pretty fricked.

You're right but his personnel isn't defensive minded. We're trying to win games defensively with offensive minded personnel. That's a train wreck waiting to happen. That should be pretty clear with the sample size by now.
