Start Jonas and let him bang down low and test Davis's back out early and often.

What the hell is this stupid arse notion either team would want to lose on purpose to avoid the nuggets?
B/c stupid arse Mike Greenberg said it we have to talk about it?

The lakers aren’t playing to win a first round series banner. They are playing to win a championship. There’s no avoiding the nuggets. You either face them in the first round or the second or the conference finals, but you’re going to face them if you want to win it all.

Actually...we were talking about this yesterday...nothing to do with Greenberg happening to agree with some of us...today.

Yea its pretty stupid. We actually have everyone fully healthy so may as well play them now. Anyone just talking about avoiding them in the 1st just want to win a playoff series.

For what reason? Are you saying the Lakers are going to drop the game on purpose?

AD is going to play the entire game. The Lakers are going to try and win, they don't give a frick about playing the Nuggets. That's talkshow BS.

And they probably will win.

I'd bet that LeBron has given it serious thought...as to what would be best for the Lakers. Luv him or hate him...he's pretty sharp. I just gave my own opinion on what I think Lakers should do...rest assured, Lakers will go 100% tonight...if that's what LeBron decides to do.

They probably won't play to avoid the nuggets. But I'm sure they're worried about the potential Nuggets match up. They got swept in the wcf last season and they're 0-3 against the nuggets for the year.

Get swept in round 1 or conf finals? Who gives a shite? Nobody is playing for 4th place.

I saw five poodles being walked in the CBD this morning. I assume they belong to some laker family so I ran over two of them.

If I can take out the remaining three the line should move even more in favor of the Pels.

Lakers are 1-7 against Sac and GS this year. I don’t think they want any part of either of them. Making the playoffs with a first round matchup against Denver is better than no playoffs at all.

Maybe, but they are still going to play to win. You make the playoffs, the end.

I’m not sold on OKC being that much easier than the nuggets. I get nuggets have championship pedigree and the best player in the league but we’ve played them tough the past couple years. 1-2 this year and one of those losses CJ was out. And we went 2-2 last year. OKC ran us off the court the last 2 games, we don’t seem to be able to score with them

Lebron has also probably seen that they are awful against the two teams they would possibly have to play if they lose to us. Would make zero sense for them to try and drop a game. They ain't Boston, it's not like they are guaranteed to win their 2nd play in game. They need to win tonight more than we do and they obviously match up well against us. They are for sure not going to try and drop this on purpose, that's a ridiculous thought Way too risky.

Yeah if its one game at home and Lebron can go supernova- im taking the lakers. You guys act like the regular season dictate things in the playoffs. It really doesn’t.

Exactly but Willie won’t. He will have Larry in by the 7 minute mark in the 1st and AD will eat him alive again.

No one fricks around in the play in, especially not the Lakers

It’s an absurd thing to even consider

The lakers scheme against Zion is simple. Its lebron out front and AD got his back. It’s why he struggles so much. The pels really don’t have a counter. The only thing I can think of is you go small and put Zion at the 5. Problem is you give up a ton of size and rebounding. JV is too slow and clogs lane eveb more. Nance is too small and nonthreat offensively.
