Im going to be out of town tonight so I wont be able to record the game. I know it's on ESPN and WatchESPN, but I will be out to dinner around 7:30 so I cant watch it live.

Is there any way to record the game on my laptop? Or watch it from the beginning when I get home to hotel at 8:30?

If not, how is this not a thing yet. I call dibs on the patent if not.

On some cable and satellite services you can record to your cable box from your phone/app.

Oh this fricking blows. You can't pay $14.99 this year to get access to every SL Game.

Pretty sure you can do it on Direct TV. Don't think you can do ESPN on Cox Contour, but ESPN3 usually has replays.

I use a combination of PlayOn and Plex to do what you're talking about. PlayOn lets you use a PC like a DVR with the different video streaming apps. Plex lets you stream your local media on your home network or even remotely. It's probably too much to set up for tonight, and it's not all free, but just so you know, that is a solution that can do what you asked.
