like they said during the game, you see the difference between him now and last year. he's definitely growing up.

He is immature and 23. It isn't like he's 29 and acting that way. With a great coaching staff, he will be dominant for a good decade if he keeps up his conditioning and controls his temper.

Monty blew this game for us with his rotations again. Trots out the same lineup in the 2nd half that got rocked in the first half and, wouldn't you know it, we're down double digits halfway into the 3rd quarter again. Our bench played their arse off for the second game in a row; and Monty refuses to do anything about it at halftime, for the second game in a row.

Rivers getting in Reggie Evans face after AD got whacked was fricking priceless. Love that kid's swagger.

I was expecting a loss before the game. I think the Kings are just a bad matchup for the Pelicans. In 3 losses we've gotten killed on the boards 30-47, 30-47, and 35-46. The one victory we were fully healthy, beat them on the boards 45-43 and Cousins was the only player with more than 5 boards. Could Monty have called a better game, of course, but this version of the Pels has to play perfect to beat the Kings just like the Grizz have so much trouble with us.

Withey (+19), Morrow (+14), Miller (+12), Rivers (+9). The first 3 logged 28 minutes each and Rivers got 23. By comparison. Outlaw was the only player on the Kings bench to truly log double digit minutes since Acy was forced to play in place of Evans.

So our bench vs their starters at least held their own, if not outplayed them by a very slight margin, while our entire starting lineup logged a "-14" or worse. That certainly suggests that a few adjustments could have altered the course of this game, particularly getting Morrow/Withey on the floor more with Roberts/Evans/Davis much quicker.
