Under the new cap $15 will essentially be $11. Just like with Greg Monroe, today's max may well be tomorrow's reasonable deal. And the scenario I mentioned really does have too many ifs to be viable, but it's the general type of move I think we'd all like to see.

Now that our season is over...lets re-look at this

Who will fit well? What will we have left after we pay AD?

Part ways with Gordon?

Guys like dudley will likely be the target

New contract starts in 2016 so no need to worry about it this year.

Who knows

He's definitely movable now that he's an expiring and has been productive.

Without a trade we really are limited to the MLE. But do you dump a useful player to target a RFA that might get matched? (Demps' top play for getting offseason value has been targeting RFAs). Or do you do what Demps did this past year and wait for facilitation value at the deadline? I think the team has gotten good enough that waiting until the deadline won't be too disappointing.

No hasty moves suits me fine.

Don't think we'll have the fire power to pull it off, but I will stay crazy about the idea of bringing in Jimmy Butler...

Jrue
Butler
AD

RYNO, Eric Gordon both attractive pieces guys will come calling for possibly...

Tony Douglas
Norris Cole
Jimmer Fredette
Jeff Withy(Can we release him yet?)
Luke Babbit

Guys listed above shouldn't be on our roster next year

Norris shouldn't be on the roster? Are you high? I hope you're joking or meaning someone else cause I agree with everything else.

I'm fine with Cole, just know he's a FA correct? I don't see us re-signing him...I could see him signing with Cleveland possibly and getting back with his buddy LeBron and playing in his hometown of Cleveland backing up Kyrie.

He has a Qualifying offer of only 3 mil that'll very likely get picked up. They have his rights too.

I'm not against Cole whatsoever...just saying I could see him definitely walking...he was good for the playoff push because he's had experience there, certified backup PG and good for it because hes never hurt and always in shape

He's a Restricted Free Agent, if we want him we'll keep him. The only way Cole isn't on the team next year is if the team makes some cap clearing trades and rescinds Cole's QO to maximize cap space for whoever they're targeting.

Ed Davis will probably wind up back in LA, right? He'd be a really nice fit at the backup PF/C spots. We're a little weak in that area right now, especially in situations where Ajinca and Anderson are on the floor together with the 2nd unit.

Probably but there's a solid crop of backup bigs.

Not really. There's quantity but not much quality. You have to be careful with the OP, that's from ESPN and it lists both 2015 and 2016. I'd say 2016 is a much better FA market for backup bigs.

we need a real small ball power forward
there is a small ball power forward with elite rebounding skills, above average perimeter defense, and an improving offense game (having been given the confidence of his coaches) that will decline his 1.1MM player option and become a UFA this summer

he is also familiar to hornets/pelicans fans
I say put on the full court press sales job and offer him the full MLE or equivalent

Bring home AFA

Not that surprising, he's got a clearly defined role and everyone loves his play here despite having his worst season statistically. It's not often you can have a career low year and everyone think you're doing your job fairly well, but what we need from him doesn't show up in the box score.

Looks like some players in FA will make the Draft tick tonight.....

With the Pels getting a new Coach in the mix, I could see some movement tonight...Don't be surprised if the Pels make some splashes tonight...whether its small or large
