Also... We now have 2 potential 6th man of the year recipients

Smith is no starting center. As of now, I see Anderson as the starting PF.

So Rivers is third string? Damn.

@ESPNSteinLine: Sources say Pelicans, already hot for Evans, were all in when Reke told them he'd be willing to be sixth man in New Orleans if necessary

Well there's your answer, drake. He's ok with the Manu Ginobili role, so I'm ok with it.

If you take all that as the Bible, then ya, i guess.

and again, it doesn't matter if he's sixth man, he'll still be playing 31 minutes, and it's yet to be seen if he will be SG or SF when he's on the court with Gordon.

no defined role.

Most teams don't give their stars defined roles. The 5 basic positions are dying.

What number will he pick since 13 is retired?

What's your point? Not trying to be a dick but are you saying him not having a defined role is a negative? It's a great thing having him buy into being a super-sub, still getting 30 mpg, at as many as 3 positions. It's going to be beautiful.

He doesn't need to be defined to purely PG, SG, or SF. He'll be here to spell any of the 3 positions when needed as well as play in small lineups and get his 30 MPG. Sure it's not as defined of a role as, say, Jrue Holiday's, but it's pretty certain what he's going to do. Certainly better than when Sacramento was just trying to throw him in any starting position they could.

my only point is that I think the Hornets want Evans to be Gordon's replacement, not play with him for many minutes.

I don't like the Evans/Holiday/Gordon trio.

Would rather Evans/Holiday/14.3M somewhere else.

If Anderson starts the 4 then we putting AD at center or AD coming off the bench. I don't like our best option at center to be AD

You're trying to make damn sure people are used to Pelicans. I'm surprised that I haven't really slipped up with it.

All indications are pointing into Reke buying into being a 6th man so I don't see a reason to believe otherwise. I hope EG stays and I believe Dell will keep him. We'll agree to disagree on the trio, I think it's going to be great

so not a defined role at all.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I wouldn't say his role is much more defined at this point then it was with the Kings.

All of us who were there from the beginning.
