Makes sense for both teams, cut Crawford. Nelson is a way better fit and obviously Jrue isn't going to be the full time PG while Rondo is out.

Yeah I mentioned that when I posted about Nelson coming here 30 minutes after he was waived. The difference from then and now is that Houston has an opening at starting point guard with the news today that Paul will be out 2-4 weeks. Can’t see a veteran like Nelson pass up on a chance to play for a contender in order to play for the Pelicans.

It’ll come down to whether Houston is offering a contract for a full year and if system fit matters.
If we are offering a full year and Houston isn’t he will come here.
If we both are if I were him I would go to Houston but sometimes these guys care about relationships a lot.

Damn that would be a good pickup. But he would stub his toe getting on the plane to come here and be out for 6 weeks.

Houston is rumored to be looking for a short-term deal, 2 to 4 weeks. Even if they offered a one year deal when Paul and Harden and Gordon are all healthy there are no minutes for Nelson. If we offer a full year I don’t see why he would choose Houston.

I can’t see him coming to Houston. Pelicans makes the most sense.
