Is the Asik signing and then resigning the worst decision dell made? I say yes.

Not necessarily the decision with the most negative impact but just the most off base wrong decision. He could have washed his hands and let him go and no one would have given him much heat, but instead we resigned him when we had a coach coming in that ran a polar opposite system to what asik might be useful in....if there is a system like that out there.

It is just the mess that is this front office. Starts with an owner that cares, not just an owner with money.

This is a signing I have never been able to back. From day 1 I thought this was a terrible decision and could not find the sunshine in it. A good game from Asik is where he stays out of the way on offense and grabs some boards. How does that garner 60 million?

I find it comical how many on here now say that signing was terrible, and how many people say they never liked him.

I felt like I was always being bashed for hating on the guy, and had very little support in the past.
We would have 10 page threads about him where I was the main person bashing him, with maybe 1 or 2 other people agreeing and everyone else telling me I was an idiot and that he was better than I was portraying him.

I was one of the main people bashing him... Some things he did simply wouldn't show up on the box score.

For instance: when the ball deflects right off his stone hands out of bounds or into another defender it did not count as a TO. You have to have full possession of the ball. Asik did this 2-3-4 or more times a game and he didn't get credited with a TO.

It's like when somebody jumps up to try to receive a bad pass and it deflects right off their finger tips, that player does not and should not get a TO for that on the box score. I pointed this out on numerous occasions and nobody seemed to care.

I can admit I wasn't against the initial signing. I hadn't seen him play very much but he said all the right things and pundits were praising the move so I felt good about it. Then he kills it in the meaningless international game that year when turkey played US and I was jaded. I remember going to opening day that year (the game where jrue gave an awkward uninspired pump up speech pregame to start the season off with, even accidentally said Philadelphia or 76ers, cant remember which) and just being shocked by how nonathletic he seemed. Then the injuries, and more lack of athleticsim.

I was like, ok we missed on that one, owell. Then we resign him to a decent sized contract and bring in a uptempo running coach. That move raised my eyebrow more than anything else demps has done bc I just cant see any justification he could use. Like what did he say to higherups to support his decision, what could he say? "You know it's hard to find even an average 5 these days, this is the going rate." Or did he not even have to justifiy his move to anyone?

I dunno, it's just puzzling.

No argument from me on that, which is why I tried to stay away from talks recently, or throughout the year, about him for the most part b/c I didn't want to be the guy that always comes back and says I told you so.

And I wasn't unhappy when we first got him. he was relatively inexpensive and seemed like the kind of center we needed. a good defender, rim protetor, that would be aggressive on the offensive boards.
I didnt' realize he played with frying pans on his hands and has the vertical of a loose leaf sheet of paper at that time.

It's just frustrating watching so many centers out there on rookie contracts be good role playing centers, while we have this dipshit at $11 million a year, who isn't even a top 30 center anymore in the league.

Trash his game all you want, but that stuff does not belong on here.

Why shouldn't it be on here. He's my least favorite player of all time too. (Hornet or Pelican).

So glad the Rockets traded Omer and Parsons for Ryan Anderson.

does Domenica still have that wild boar ragu pasta dish? I've seen that popping up all over the country, but Beshy had it first back in 2010 or whever

Had it with lamb the other night up here - same dish even had the fresh mint sprigs on top.

You think you had it bad, I was right about most every single thing about this god forsaken team over the past few years but yet I got chased off here by reactionary Tyreke fanbois (like HendersonHands, LosLobos and that kid with the Doug Funny avatar) who have never played competitive bball in their lives. I still want some apologies - hell, I was even right about Antny being a bit of a pussy

I finally had enough about 5 games into this season when I realized that for every hour of joy the Pellies have brought me, they've probably brought me 2 or 3 hours of frustration and annoyance.

I lasted about 20 games.
This season was almost as bad as the last Baron Davis, Magloire, mashburn season.
