Nikola Mirotic

It seems to me that besides offensive rebounding a legit stretch four is needed ironically enough.
What would the be thoughts of maybe trying to acquire Mirotic? He's a free agent after this season and is currently on a cheap deal. I don't know how much he'd cost long term, but I wouldn't mind him as a bench piece especially if we are going to log AD at the 5 more.

I don't think we need a stretch 4, we just need a mobile 4/5 that's not a liability on offense. Terrence Jones has been good enough in that role much of the year and hopefully Diallo can end up doing what Jones does on offense but also be good on defense. I think you need to approach team building with Diallo penciled in as the future 2nd/3rd big and Buddy as the starting SG. If those 2 don't work out you'll be blowing it up anyway so no point in spending assets or cap space on guys to take their place. That's not to say Mirotic couldn't work as the 3rd big with AD/Diallo, but Mirotic is only listed at 220. If you sign Mirotic you probably need to keep Asik as an expensive 4th big. That's just too much money in the front court with you also needing to cover the seemingly failed bet on Solomon Hill.

No thanks.
We don't need a stretch 4. Jones has been playing well, and if Hill can start hitting open 3's then we are just fine there.
What we still need is a legit 2 or 3 to either acquire or for Buddy to emerge as a legit starter and contributor in the next 2 years.
We have got to get an all-star type player at one of those 2 positions soon or we will continue to be mediocre at best.
We still don't have a SF worth a shite on this team. The two we have, Hill and DC, are good defenders and that's about it. Hill is no better than DC for the most part but gets paid a hell of a lot more than him.
