New Zion Extension Info- He is Ecstatic to stay in New Orleans per Shams

Shams went on the Pat McAfee show earlier today and confirmed that there are injury protections worked into the Zion extension. He also categorized Zion’s reaction to the extension as being “ecstatic to sign this new contract to stay in New Orleans,” even despite the injury protections that are worked into the deal.
The link provides direct quotes from Shams and also a video of the segment on the Pat McAfee show.

I posted it because there are more details revealed here than anywhere else thus far.
Shams confirmed there are injury guarantees and he also shed light on Zion’s disposition regarding the contract.
To my knowledge, we didn’t have info on either of those things until Sham’s interview on the PM show.
I’m sure the finer details will likely come out this week.

Shams doesn’t know shite….
The local guys basically confirm this.

No numbers or details about the extension have been reported officially. If they were…Woj would have been all over it, along with the local guys.

But I’m pretty Shams is just regurgitating the quote that Zion “couldn’t sign it fast enough” in regards to his extension. Everyone has known that for over a month.

Not 100% if you watched and have cross referenced with anyone else that has spoken publicly, but Shams spoke pretty definitively regarding there being injury protections on the deal, Zion not being worried about that, Zion being ecstatic to sign the deal even with the protections to stay in New Orleans.
He was saying these things definitively. They did not sound like conjecture. Also, similar to Jordy Cullota, Shams has proven to have a direct link to Zion in the past.
Shams has literally done an exclusive interview with Zion in the past. So, I’m pretty sure he is getting this info directly from Zion especially with the way he is framing some of the details. It would be borderline egregious to be saying some of the things he said in the segment with PM, without him knowing these things for sure.

Zion is allowed to officially put pen to paper at 11:00 Central Time. I honestly think that he will sign before 11:01. I think Zion is going to make "can't sign it fast enough" a very literal statement. What better birthday present could there be than a guaranteed $193 million dollars?

I forgot to mention. Shams also said that Zion plans to give back some of his contract in a charitable aspect to the community.
That was another clue that he wasn’t just speculating, but he also had info directly from Zion or his “camp”.
