NBA Expert Bill Simmons on our surging Pellies

You guys get to butthurt about everything lol. Other than being a noted Celtics Homer, Simmons is usually a pretty trustworthy, unbiased voice for the rest of the teams in the league, especially with Ryen around to keep him from going off of the rails.

Being a trustworthy, unbias voice is hard to do when everything he says is centered around the Celtics. The fact you’re defending Bill Simmons is absolutely ridiculous.

Correct. People need to chill with not only downvotes but more importantly personal attacks. Pelicans are playing their best basketball since Portland series and the board is damn near dead because of shite like that.

When has Simmons ever said anything that’s untrue or unfair about the Pels?
I feel like both he and Russilo have consistently been huge supporters of the team dating back to the AD trade.
Bill did dedicate a few segments to the mistakes D Griff made with team/coach/roster building, but it was all very fair. And often in the next sentence he would still praise the organization for unearthing guys like Naji, Jose, Herb, and Trey.
There are far worse national guys. These 2 have been in our corner for a long time when they really haven’t had to be.

Meh, Simmons Celtics bias is different because he does t pretend to hide it. Other talking heads who pretend to not have favorite teams but clearly do are the annoying ones. At least Simmons admits his bias

I think I remember him saying some stuff in the past that pissed everyone off and wasn't true. He doesn't watch enough games other than the Celtics and often makes uninformed comments.

That might be true. I was more or less talking about since the AD trade occurred (he has been supportive as a national media member can be, given that we have not won a playoff series since 2018?). I wasn’t listening to Bill Simmons back in 2015 tbh.
I don’t think he’s done much in a long time to be characterized as a villain on this board. It’s not like he’s SAS, Kendrick Perkins, or even JJ Redick (when he was salty in the immediate aftermath of being traded).
