Anthony Davis exits w 2 minutes left in the 3rd.. Doesn't reappear until 6 left in the 4th.. Thoughts?

Dude was having his best game of the year. Smith and Rivers got too much run down the stretch. Would've liked to see GV and AD more at the end.

I was actually ok with Rivers staying in for a while because he was making GSW work on defense. But Jason Smith turned in arguably his worst game as a Hornet and shouldn't have been in for as long as he was.

However, these last few games tell me that Monty is really trying to keep Davis from playing big minutes. I guess they are trying to pace his rookie year, which I'm ok with IF that's what they are doing.

I was really puzzled by it. I can understand riding Smith when he's playing well but he was playing pretty poorly and Davis was dominating. I really didn't get it at all. Gordon got in quicker than him and he's still getting sore after games.

Rivers definitely played well. I had no problem with him getting minutes, I just thought he should've got yanked a bit sooner.

He looked really good tonight besides missing the wide open 3

Monty still seems afraid to play Ryno and AD together. I'm usually OK with his frontcourt rotations since Lopez and Smith are solid players, but Anderson/Davis should have played more than 60 combined minutes tonight.

Smith looked really really bad out there.

How does a 7 footer play nearly 20 minutes and not get a single rebound?

There was one point at the start of the 4th quarter where our 5 guys had a combined 2 rebounds and both were Anderson

Davis was so in the zone. It's a shame he didnt play 35+ tonight. Smith ducking sucked

Him getting tired is no excuse. He would play the whole game if he could.

Monty messed up but Gordon shouldn't be a 6 point swing with 230 to go because he goes full retard.

That TO by Gordon was mind blowing. He made some shots but seemed out of it

That stupid iso shot was awful too. He looked like shite down the stretch.

But he can't be perfect every game. Alas.

Gordon's big turnover was stupefying. Some turnovers come from pressure, some come from desperation . . . this one was a flat-out error.

His jacked-up long 2 when doing an iso game with Curry was lazy.

There was a good deal of laziness from his Gordonness tonight. While upsetting, it really makes me salivate at this team when he's hitting on all, or even most, cylinders.

Pretty much Gordon has sucked down stretch vs hawks and tonite...he's great but try to be it for the home bed

I agree that Davis should have come back in at around 9:00 or 8:00, but he did get 32 mins...

If Davis his a couple more friggin FTs we might not be having this convo...

Warriors top 4 scorers played 36,38,38,38 mins respectively. Gravy was our leading minute getter with 34. We do need bench experience, but we are fighting for a long shot at a playoff birth, we need to play our best at least 35mins a night. Look at box scores from around the league, these guys play 38 mins and up every night. Home crowd at least deserves more of our best 7 or 8 for the most part of the game.

It seems to me that Monte is still growing the team and looking to develop them. He knows that even if even if we made a push, we probably wouldn't get out of the first round.

I wanna go to the playoffs as much as the next guy, but I are why monte is doing what he is doing. It's not about the tank as much as it is getting these young guys minutes that will pay dividends in season 2 and 3.

We nearly had that game. We really did give it away, but we did give it away playing basketball. We made some really bad plays down the stretch, and it was often our best players. Davis was missing free throws. Gordon had an odd shooting night. He had one hot stretch that basically masked an otherwise terrible night shooting the ball. Given that we nearly had the game with those things occurring, I can't fault Monty too much.

My buddy and I both got one of those stress balls at the game right before the 4th. The logos are basically gone off of both.

Give it away was exactly my description, as well. It's wasn't just on offense. Smith moving screen. Letting Jack drive into the lane to take the lead.

Monty said the team showed its youth.

Bingo.
