New Orleans coach Monty Williams is asking Hornets fans for a favor regarding Eric Gordon, who plans to return to practice next week after rehabbing a knee injury: Give him a second chance.
"Our city has been a city of second chances," Williams told Yahoo! Sports. "This situation should be the same way. Eric said some things. But if you polled most of the people in our city about the things they said at [age] 23, I'm sure they had some regrets. We want our city to embrace him because that's who we are."

I will be a supporter of Gordon and I am excited about the potential of a healthy Rougarou squad.

I wish Gordon would have been doing things like the interview the other night from the beginning though.

Monty is such a great guy.

Anyone who boos him when he gets back on the court doesn't deserve tickets.

Looking back on that picture, that's the happiest face I've ever seen on Aminu.

I agree with both. I really hope our fans don't boo him on his first game back. It's time for the new era of Hornets basketball!

that's so awkward to boo a player on your team when he's about to play....what do you do when he scores?

The Negative Nancies don't think that far ahead and just want to boo him instead of being happy that a 20PPG, elite perimeter defense player is coming back.

I think both sides of the spectrum are nuts. I say we wait until he steps on the court AND PLAYS MULTIPLE GAMES, before we boo or cheer him.

The negative nancies also have season tickets and support the team financially. I won't boo but won't hold it against anyone who does. He can turn anyone around with his play

EG will get some boos. But as he plays and the better he performs the quicker we'll forget. If this dude comes out and is a bust we'll hate him even more. But if he plays like we want him to play and we begin to win some basketball games people will love him.
