Monty doesn't think EG or Tyresus will be moved during the deadline

But Pelicans coach Monty Williams said after Monday’s practice that he expects for both players to still be with the team after the trade deadline passes.
''I don’t know where all that stuff comes from man,’’ Williams said. ''It’s silly to me to put guys names out there like that. I don’t know how to answer that.
''I’m focused on tomorrow's practice. As far as I know, those guys are going to be here. All the trade stuff, I guess there is nothing else to talk about. It’s not something we put a lot of stock into as coaches.’’
Evans admits the trade situation is out of his hands, but he thinks Thursday’s deadline will pass without him getting moved.
The Pelicans acquired Evans in a sign-and-trade deal with the Sacramento Kings last summer after he agreed to New Orleans' four-year, $44 million deal as a restricted free agent.
Unable to avoid injuries, Evans has not made the type of impact that was expected before the season started. Two weeks ago, Williams urged for Evans to become a better shooter from mid-range.
''I just care about basketball and this team you know,’’ said Evans, who is averaging 12.6 points but is making only 41 percent of his shots as a backup swingman.''I can’t control anything happening that’s out of my hands. I just try to come work hard every day and help us get better.’

No big pieces will be moved before the deadline.
Don't think any moves will be made at all actually.

I saw this on the 10pm news last night. What is the coach supposed to say? He has to be tight lipped.

This is just coach talk and all it means is he hasn't been told a deal is imminent. Although I really don't think Tyreke is being actively shopped, available maybe, but all the smoke behind Gordon says what we thought from the beginning, signing Tyreke was in part about moving on from Gordon.

What if we end up shipping BOTH off?!

Not me. I'd like to turn him into something resembling a complete player.

If you move Gordon to let Reke start, you need a starting 3 that is efficient behind the arch.
