Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton will undergo surgery to repair a torn hamstring and his status for this season is unclear, league sources told The Vertical.
Middleton, 25, suffered the injury in workouts Tuesday and subsequent testing revealed the tear, sources said.
He could miss a significant portion of the season and a final timetable will be set after surgery, sources said.

Potentially Pels related because if the Bucks start slow without their leading scorer, maybe Tyreke's insurance money is a good enough return for Greg Monroe.

I was thinking about this last night. HoopsRumors.com has an article up saying that the Bucks are looking for wing help right now. I've also recently read that are willing to take less than market value to move Monroe.
I think the only wing we can move right now is Dante. I wonder if Reke + Cunningham for Monroe could work? Would have to flip Asik or Ajinca in a separate deal I'd imagine.

That may end up what the trade becomes, but I don't think a deal like that happens until after the season starts. Middleton is their leading scorer, you don't just replace him with Cunningham. They'll look elsewhere first.
Also, Tyreke doesn't start becoming worth real cash money unless he misses time. He doesn't have any significant cash value until December (about $1.6 million in insurance payments by then.) We still have no idea how long Tyreke is out, best case scenario for trading him might be a January return. A little over $3 million in insurance to go along with a potent 6th man. Hopefully that can return more than an expiring Greg Monroe.

Would seem that a deal for Rudy Gay would make some sense for the Bucks.

Yeah, I can see that for the Bucks, but would the Kings want Monroe? They already have Cousins, Koufos and WCS. They also seem pretty high on Skal, so all of those bigs makes the Bucks other big money expendable in Henson not a player of much interest for the Kings. Although maybe Henson is good enough to get a decent 3 team trade going.

Proposed Trade:
Bucks get:
Rudy Gay
Kosta Koufos
Kings get:
Tyreke Evans
Alexis Ajinca
Pels get:

The Kings don't want insurance money, they want someone to put buts in the seat at their new arena. Not to mention Cousins already ran Tyreke out of town once.

Eh, good point. Didn't think of that.

They NEED shooting bad. Tyreke will take the ball out of Antekenuempo's hands which is going against everything the Bucks are doing.

Bucks and Rockets completed a trade today that sends Michael Beasley to the Bucks in exchange for Tyler Ennis.

You missed the point, perhaps you aren't aware of Tyreke's situation. He's been injured since last season, the team has said he'll miss the start of this season, and the journalists that talk to the team don't think he'll be back anytime soon. After the 3rd game of the season Tyreke's contract starts paying out $1 million for every 10 games missed.
The point of this thread is not the Bucks would want Tyreke the player to replace Middleton, but if they get off to a slow start and are a clear lottery team come December and Tyreke is still out, they may prefer Tyreke's insurance money to Greg Monroe. I'm personally not interested in Monroe, but there has been a lot of smoke with the Pels and Monroe, and Middleton going down could change the Bucks stance of not wanting to just dump Monroe.

If they are thinking about Monroe, they need to dump Asik w/ Evans. Problem is, there's no way the Bucks add Asik's remaining $10M/year with Plumlee/Henson earning ~$20M combined annually over the next 4 years and also being actual NBA rotation level players.
I would have a hard time understanding Evans for Monroe for the Pels, other than nice headlines because Monroe is local. They add more salary, lose insurance payments, get a likely expiring contract (and only Early Bird Rights), and don't improve the on court product much at all.
I guess a "dream" scenario would be Monroe opts in for 17/18, takes a hometown discount the following summer, and is happy being a supplementary piece.
Hopefully that is not a Demps or Benson/Loomis dream
