This doesn't make any sense to me. The guy that we drafted and sent away is now coming to the USA to either be traded or be a part of our team. Why WOULDN'T he go straight to our team/ facilities? We drafted him...
That's like saying we won't trade Kira because he has been here. He's part of our team until he is not. Even if he gets traded he's going to report to our team until that's official.

It also makes more sense to tell the guy you drafted in person that he is getting traded and will have an opportunity/ new start from another organization. I wouldn't read anything into him being in Nola other than our roster may change.

Because you would presumably just trade his draft rights, unless you needed to do a S&T to put salary in the deal.

S&T wouldn’t be possible as he wouldn’t be able to be traded for 30 days after signing.
I have a feeling they’re exploring Jonas trades and will possibly be taking a slight step backwards in talent level and would like to have Karlo in house for added depth.

I think he was coming either way. Looking at some of his recent highlights hes been extremely impressive. If we trade Jonas- he might get playing time. And if not very useful big down the line. Regardless with Willie he’ll be riding the bench with Matt Ryan smh.
