He gushes about NOLA on his SIRIUS NBA radio show. We are very fortunate to have him.

Yup. We talked about jimmer splitting double teams. I left him with this. "Tell David to enjoy those free fries" he laughed and said "he lives for that!"

Always use the Pel's feed when I watch y'all on league pass. He is by far one of the best.

Liked when he did Texans preseason games. He's good. Deserves national recognition.

For real though, I felt like he would have kept talking to me as long as I wanted too. I didn't want to hold him up though. A great ambassador for this team and loves this city as much as we do.

SiriusXM channel 86. He is usually on there on Wednesdays, I believe, 12-3PM.

NBA off the dribble, great show. He may be on there other days, but that is usually when I catch him.

Love to hear this stuff. Got a buddy who swore to me he saw him walking a few months ago. Not trying to be to intrusive he just politely nodded and told him hey as they were about to pass.. Said Joel extended his hand and held a couple minutes of conversation.. He said Joel seemed to beam about how much he loves the city and the people.

btw I kinda thought he was either bullshiting me or exaggerating, but I've heard more than one person say nice things about him..

Many people see him juat walking around. Really easy going guy.

He really does like it here. He eats local, drinks local, and really enjoys it. He wearasPelicans stuff around more often than not, too.

Sadly, the last time I saw him, we were coincidentally grabbing the same fast food midday before the Suns game. (And before the LSU game). Talked for a few about the Bulls and Suns, then let him go.

Try talking football with him. He does not have be so ambassadorial. He saw a bit back in his Westwood One days. The man knows some stuff.

I think the only way he leaves is if ESPN or the CBS conglomerate come calling. I'm with you though. He greatly enhances the experience of watching the Pels on TV. It'll be a terribly sad day if it ever happens.

My dad has run into him a few times at Elmwood Fitness. He said Just what yall are saying. Very approachable and really seems to enjoy talking hoops with anyone who wants to talk.

Ehhhh, I still think he has that deer in the headlights thing even after all these years. He's gotten a little better but even for a CC guy, he's still very green.

But yeah, Joel Meyers is a beast.

I had wondered what happened to him when I wasn't hearing him do Lakers and Dodgers broadcasts anymore, He was supposed to be the successor to Chick Hern.

New Orleans and the Pelicans got a good one. He and Jim Henderson would be a great 1 - 2 punch in any market.
