They've been working at The Factory in the san fernado valley.

This type of squat trains balance, mobility and strength all within the same exercise. It has been said this advanced calisthenic is wonderful for not only building stronger legs but also eradicating any imbalances between the two sides of the body.

He's been doing "Pistol Squats"

He has no trouble putting weight on his right leg.

Pistol squats are a killer. Especially with a TRX system

Very good to see, hopefully the removal of that screw (or screw head, I don't remember which was his case) solved his lingering issue that he was experiencing.

Hopefully this solves his issues. We can't afford for it not to.

I always took no news as good news on Jrue this offseason. What we know/they told us

1) Doctors (outside specialists, not just our team doctors) didn't see any reason why he was having problems with recovery
2) His procedure had gone as expected, both from what they've said and the fact that they didn't opt to do another/different procedure a la Durant
3a) Primary symptom seemed to be inflammation after activity
3b) The screw holding his rod in place no longer served a purpose other than being an out of place foreign object and possible source of inflammation so it was removed.

You never know how this will turn out with this franchise, but like I said, no news seemed like good news this summer.

Interesting comments from the poster on PR that has a friend who works with the team's medical staff.

quote:

My contact is out to Utah to work with the Jazz (he had his offer from the Suns pulled), but he said Jrue will be fine for the upcoming season. A little dishonesty, and not sticking with the plan is what derailed him last season. This offseason the FO supposedly put the fear of God in him and now he is following what the team doctors say.

LINK

A prognosis of "fine for the upcoming season" is good to hear from a source that said the team was playing him in the playoffs against medical team wishes.

When he was close to coming back he said that he wasn't asking for a time line from the doctors because he would try and come back too early because he's a throwback type that will play as long as he can still walk. Remember that Monty had to pull Jrue in the first place, he would have kept playing without someone yanking him. The dishonesty is probably referring to him saying he didn't do anything when he actually did.

Here's a short clip from Instagram of Jrue hitting a 3. So he's also playing "competitive" basketball and not just working out.
