As long as this is just playing the odds on a back to back I've got no problem with it.

I thought they said earlier that he'll go 20 min tonight? I understand but it's confusing to wait til the last minute in my opinion.

Agreed. McNamara made a good point that playing Jrue tonight instead of tomorrow would be a good way for Gentry to show confidence in his guys, but this is the smart move.

That's assuming that he's not out due to a setback, in which case FML. I doubt that's the case though since I believe the report that he was good for 20mpg came after this morning's shootaround.

Yeah, its just weird that earlier today Gentry said he could play 20 minutes, then 8 hours later we decide to save him fo tomorrow. What changed between then?

The plan is to limit him on playing back to back, especially on the road.

Could play 20 minutes -----> out

Gentry might be better at this than Sean "he's got a leg" Payton

Well yeah, I understand that, but wouldn't that have been the plan this morning as well? What happened between then to decide that we had a better chance at winning tomorrow?

Gentry talked to Walton and saw the fear in his eyes. He knows he doesn't need Jrue to win with Kerr out.

make the warriors game plan for Jrue. tell them 20 minutes. pull the rug out from underneath them

i like the Gentry fellow. and he's playing the game right. have Jrue tomorrow night when you are more likely to get a W.

Dumb. They should have played him today and sat him for Portland which is a winnable game without him. Instead of wasting him in pre-season, they should have rested him then.
