I've come to terms with overpaying jrue, though I thinks it's the wrong move. If we overpay for his brother though .....

I'm already wrapping my mind around something near the $25M mark. He's not worth that at all, but the Pels are forced to pay him that much in order to remain a competitive team next season and not piss off Cousins or AD for that matter. It sucks, but it is what it is at this point.

It means the numbers are very high. That's what he implied.

Then Brendan Haywood ripped the pellies for cousins while Joel bit his tongue.

I am thinking about 4 years/$106 million. That would allow us to keep his pay very slightly below AD for at least 2 years.

Haywood thought acquiring Cousins was a bad thing?

Said he brought same toxic leadership from Sacramento to New Orleans

Joel countered with, "have you seen how good of shape Cousins is in?"

I'm thinking that number is about perfect. Joel isn't one to start throwing strong words around. That's as bold as you'll get. His co-host this morning was laughing about Austin Rivers contract and Joel wouldn't touch that one.

I also get the feeling that Joel is probably more connected than he otherwise lets on. He doesn't run his mouth about "what he knows" very often.

If anyone thinks we are not going to overpay for jrue, they haven't been paying attention to the NBA the past few years lol

When you pay a scrub like Hill what we do, it's obvious we'll grossly overpay Holiday too.

What makes Dell think he moves the needle for this team?

We've had him four years and sucked. Think paying him 10X that amount will all of a sudden make him and the team better?

Stupid.

Joel probably knows more than anyone not on staff. You can tell from his show in terms of how cautious he is when speaking about the Pels. Iam sure that he won't run his mouth or leak anything to reporters unless the Pels tell him to do so.

would be a tough pill to swallow.

I want a 4 year 100mil TOPS. Anything more than that will be rough.

Joel is one of the most professional, respected guys in the league. He doesn't throw things around too much. We're lucky to have this guy in NOLA. I think the Pels pay his salary hence why he always speaks at their events and does Saints preseason games.

I still don't understand how we have him. We don't really deserve him, but he loves the city. Big food and Jazz guy. I used to run into him a bunch walking my dog when I lived in the WHD. Really laid back guy. You start shooting the shite with him about anything for what seems like a second and you glance at your watch to see you've been chatting for 30 minutes.
