So let's have two average-decent guards running the team who can't get it done.

A Teague/Holiday back court should probably be about plan D or E, but it's not a terrible option as a fall back. And are you really saying Teague can't get it done because the Pacers got swept by the defending champs?

I did not watch the series, but Teague's stats look pretty good. A very efficent 17 ppg, 52% from 3, getting to the line 4.5 times per game. His assist numbers look low at 6.3, but the usage rate says George was running the offense so it's actually not that bad. I'm not sure what "Grit and Heart" would look like, but this series was over before it started. Lance Stephenson was the 3rd leading scorer. I like Lance, but when a guy you picked up a few weeks before is that important to you, like Crawford was to the Pels, it means you're not a very good team.

Teague can be had at 18-20, but Jrue is 22-25 or even a potential max guy?

Philly and the Knicks have very specific "off ball PG" interest in Holiday and cap space that points us to his potential price range if they target him. I think NOFOX is right that Indy isn't going to let Teague just walk unless they blow it up. But if they do, who's going after Teague? I haven't really heard his name mentioned much so I think he's going to be near the back of the line in this tier of PGs if Indy doesn't keep him.

Draft lottery means everything this offseason. Lakers will move pick if top 3 and George seems like he wants out. Bird's hand may be forced this offseason.

If the rumors of George wanting to go to the Lakers are true and he refuses to agree to re-up with any team that trades for him, his trade value is going to be as low as Boogie's. I don't know if the Lakers would give up a top 3 pick for George if he is forcing his way out of Indiana.

Yeah his stats are just that. They looked good, but he didn't play good. Nobody who saw the series should want him, seriously. Especially Paul George.

I just don't trust a player who shows he does not care during the playoffs, no matter what team, to flourish on ours.

Kobe decided to not care against the Suns in a playoff series they lost 4-1, then said he wanted to be traded, then they made the finals the next year and won it the next two years, so it worked.
Paul George isn't Kobe Bryant.

I'd like Jeff Teague b/c like Jrue, he's capable of taking a game over from time to time, and he's a good defender and 3 point shooter. He's also played in more playoff games than the rest of the Pelicans current relevant players combined.

George is still going to command a first round pick wherever he goes and the Lakers seem willing to part with theirs. Remember, Boston wants him too.

Teague is 2 years older and smaller that's why he could potentially be cheaper

I know that it is what if, but

what I am mad of is that we might have Teague in 2013 for free, without giving up two first rounders for Jrue

also without giving up on Lopez to taki Asik for a first round pick

So You might have Teague for 8 millions, 2013th pick (Noel or f.e. McCollum or KCP), 2014th pick (Payton or Saric), 2015th pick (Dekker) and a lot of cap space.

I understand that this not work like this. But it was one movement. Domino's fall. Or fail...

Larry Legend steps down as Pacers President. More evidence that they're 'bout to get blowed up.
